Turn off and inspect

Disconnect power as instructed and let the display cool if required. A dark screen makes marks easier to see. Remove loose dust gently with a suitable clean, soft cloth; trapped grit can turn repeated rubbing into scratching.

Apply less, not more

If the instructions permit a slightly damp cloth, apply moisture to the cloth rather than spraying the panel. Keep liquid away from the bezel and openings. Do not press hard on a stubborn mark or use chemicals beyond those approved for the exact finish.

Keep the cloth suitable

Use a cloth that has not collected abrasive debris or cleaning-product residue from another job. Special coatings can require a specific cloth or procedure. If a mark remains, check support guidance before escalating to stronger solvents; a worn coating is not ordinary dirt.
