Prepare a realistic first run

Remove loose charging leads, small toys and anything the manual identifies as unsafe. Check rug fringes and low furniture where the robot could become trapped. Keep pets supervised during the first run and do not expect obstacle detection to recognise every object.

Give the dock a stable home

Follow the required clearances and place the dock where the robot can approach it consistently. Avoid moving it between runs unless the instructions allow this. Make sure doors do not close off a route the robot needs to finish or return.

Adjust one room at a time

Observe where it pauses, misses edges or struggles with a threshold. Use supported exclusion zones for unsuitable areas and review the map after furniture changes. Empty and maintain the machine according to its instructions; a carefully arranged room cannot compensate for a blocked brush.
