Separate head and valve

Identify the existing thermostat head and check the manufacturer’s adapter list. Replacing a removable head is not the same as changing the valve body or opening the heating circuit. If the fitting is unclear or there is any leak, stop and use a qualified heating professional.

Check the surroundings

A control behind a thick curtain or enclosed radiator cover may experience conditions different from the room. Follow the product’s guidance for sensing and any optional room sensor. Do not assume the temperature shown beside a hot radiator exactly represents the seating area.

Coordinate the whole system

Check how radiator controls interact with the main thermostat and boiler controls. A room calling for heat cannot necessarily start the system by itself. Start with one suitable room, test manual operation and battery alerts, then decide whether wider installation is worthwhile.
