Mark the screen outline
Measure the available wall or furniture space and mark the proposed screen size with removable tape or paper. Sit in every normal seat. Check whether you can comfortably take in the picture and whether the screen blocks storage, windows or a natural walking route.
Consider height and reflections
The centre of attention should not force an uncomfortable head position. Check reflections at the times you usually watch. A higher wall position can introduce both neck discomfort and different glare; do not choose it only because the wall is empty.
Plan support and connections
Use furniture or a mount rated for the exact television and wall construction. Get appropriate help for mounting. Check room for connectors, ventilation and safe cable routing before ordering. The overall case and stand dimensions may matter more than the diagonal screen measurement.
